| Maria Luisa Musical Presentation |
Several years ago Shiro traveled to Spain and had the opportunity to visit a castle outside of Madrid. This castle was in ruins but seemed to
have a mysterious quality that captivated Shiro. As he entered the castle he was drawn deeper into its past. And as he walked through the great
halls and grand rooms he could imagine what life was like so long ago. But he was not alone. It seemed that at every corner when he glanced over
his shoulder he could catch a glimpse of a mysterious figure gently floating above the now crumbling stone floor. No matter where he went within
the castle he was haunted by this presence. When Shiro exited the castle he left the past behind but was inspired to express this experience in a
musical composition. But who was this mysterious occupant? He later discovered that a former resident had spent her entire life within those
walls. Her name was Maria Luisa.

This experience has left a lasting impression on Shiro. Putting this experience into music was a challenge. How do you pay tribute to someone who
has reached out from the past to tell a story of life within those castle walls? Translating this experience into both a musical and visual
presentation was something that Shiro wanted to present to you. Please join Shiro as he takes you back to that castle on the outskirts of
Madrid ...
